Mohamadou Kouatè, also known as Dudù was born in Dakar, Senegal, from a family of griot, West African storytellers whose role is to preserve the musical and cultural African tradition throughout the time.

He arrived in Italy in 1988, in Messina, where he started his career as percussionist, singer and dancer. Today Kouatè is a multi-instrumentalist musician that plays with different ensembles and got on the stage of some of the most important Italian music festivals.

The relentless pursuit of the sound (sound of elements) drives him to always new and interesting experiences in the world of music. He is recognized for enhancing traditional instruments, especially percussions, where he succeed in integrating them in musical context that are diversified from each other. Since 2017 he is permanent member of the historical band Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Pasquale Mirra is considered one of the most engaging and active vibraphonist of the actual national and international musical scene. He boasts several engagements with musicians like Hamid Drake, with whom collaborates on different projects both in America and Europe.

In 2005 he became member of the association Bassesfere, a musician’s collective involved in developing and spreading improvised music. He worked together with the band Mop Mop and he took part at the creation of the soundtracks of the movie “To Rome with Love”, directed by Woody Allen.

At the moment he is busy with an educational project based on the creation of musical instruments through the recycle of materials.
